lancome maharani jewels - fall 2008

New for Fall 2008 is Lancome Maharani Jewels.

The collection is a veritable passport to India, where the brand opened a location last year.

The colors are as gorgeous as the landscape of the countryside, as vibrant as the traditional Saris worn by the women of the country, and as rich as the jewels that adorn the neck of a Maharani...or princess.

Some of the products that have us reaching for our charge cards?

Poudre Elephant Teint ($36.50) embossed with the revered symbol of royalty, the elephant, this bronzer compact is almost too pretty to use.

Maharani Juicy Tubes ($18) who doesn't love Juicy Tubes? These are drool worthy. Embellished with beautiful lines, teardrops, and paisley shapes in shiny gold, the containers are as marvelous as the gloss inside. New shades being offered: Mango Mystere, Guava Enchantment, and Autumn Jasmine.

Le Crayon Khol Kajal ($23.50) natural jojoba oil and organic beeswax make it easy to apply and blend. The colors? India Ink (intense black), Amber Night (rich brown), and Smoky Henna.

Maharani Color Design Eye Shadow Quads ($40) taking inspiration from the gorgeous earthy landscapes of the India countryside, these palettes are divine. The Lotus Splendor palette contains earthy brown, peach, and copper eye shadows. The Secrets of Benghal palette has soft pink, dusty mauve, eggplant, and highlighting shadows.

All are available this month at special Lancome counters and at
