shobha threading and skincare salons

After seeing this threading/skincare salon in a few different magazines, it piqued our interest.

If you've never been threading, what's stopping you?

It's actually not as painful as you would think it was. Plus you don't have to worry about someone using too hot a wax on your delicate face.

Anyone who has had some of their skin removed, along with their eyebrow hair, will tell you that that is really, really painful.

At Shobha, they will only remove facial hair through the threading technique. While neither of us has had the pleasure in sitting in one of their chairs, one of us has experienced the fascinating art of threading first hand.

We say fascinating, because it amazes us that the person can use just the special thread (wound in a special way) to remove hair so precisely. It also doesn't hurt and leave you with redness.

Shobha's also uses sugaring or waxing on pretty much everything below the head. And we mean everything.

Even there.

Yes...there too.

With facials rounding out the service menu, you could definitely leave there hair free and glowing.

There are three locations in the New York area...Columbus Circle, Madison, and SoHo. Head over to for more information and to find out how you can book an appointment.

Oh...and before we forget to mention this...Shobha also has products that you can purchase online or in their salons.

One we're working on right now?

Shobha Ingrown Relief Lotion
, created to gently treat and prevent ingrown hairs after any hair removal process. Use it 48 hours after waxing and apply it at night. We're still in the process of testing and so far, so good. We'll let you know how it works out.

With love (always),

when i went threading, i had small scabs because the lady threading my brows put the thread too close to my skin and basically took a small layer of skin left! She also left some weird stray hairs at the end of my brows. It was very well groomed and felt kind of weird. I heard constant threading tugs at your skin and could make you prematurely age! Anybody else hear this?
