fabulous giveaway from vogue and redken for our readers!

Because we love you guys and because Vogue and Redken kick serious butt, ten of our readers have the opportunity to win a Redken Full Frame 07 Protective Volumizing Mousse!

Why are they doing this?

Well...basically to celebrate Redken's new episodes of Behind the Lens on Vogue.TV.

Behind the Lens: The Look of Fall 2008 is a four-part series featuring one designer in each of the world’s fashion capitals - New York, London, Paris, and Milan.

The series offers an insider’s view into the creative collaborations behind preparing a runway show, highlighting the impact major designers will have on the season’s fashion and beauty trends.

This contest is over.

We are so sorry for the confusion...this is totally our fault as we had erroneously put a different date here than in the contest disclaimer at the end.

As per our original agreement with Redken and Vogue we chose the winners on August 28th, not September the winners have already been announced.

Please accept our apologies for the craziness and the mistake...which both of us literally just realized. How that got by us is a complete mystery.

Again, we are so sorry and hope you understand that we did not do this intentionally.

Please come back on Wednesday, when we will be running another giveaway...minus the typos!

With love (always),
Jennifer and Christine
proud members of total beauty and the bbn networks

*Please Read This: In entering this contest you are giving us permission to forward your name and mailing address to representatives for Redken and Vogue for fulfillment and mailing of contest prize(s). If you fail to include that information within 24 hours of us announcing your name, we will disqualify your entry. Ten winners, chosen at random, will receive the prize mentioned. Duplicate entries will not improve your chances of winning. Giveaway sponsored by Redken and Vogue. Some restrictions may apply. Open only to US residents only. Entries will be accepted through 11:00 pm on Thursday, August 28th, 2008.

I have watched the Roberto Cavalli show. I must say that Redken beauty consultant Guido did a fantastic job with the models' hair. He made the hair all done up to give a masculine-ish look and this suited the Cavalli ensemble perfectly!

I watched the Look of Peter Som. It was a new experience for me to see what goes on with the models. I never knew that disheveled hair was a style in itself so now I don't feel so bad about my own. :)

I watched the Roberto Cavalli in Milan video. Loved the hair and the tiaras. Loved the strapless dress. Sure is busy trying to put a show together. The models arrive a 9 and the show starts at 1. Thank you for the chance!

I watched The Look Of Peter Som with Pat and Guido, and it's amazing how they make desheveled hair look so good, that's what I look like when I wake up in the morning, and I don't look that good, maybe if I add a touch of makeup, I might can make it work LOL!!

I watched the Collier Strong video: Makeup for the Runway. It was really kick butt to see them creating such nice looks with makeup we can all buy (L'Oreal) in the drugstore! I guess it appealed to my budget side. And the toned-down smokey eye looks were fab!

Thanks for the grand giveaway ladies!

We've always called that disheveled look the "bedhead". :) Call it whatever you like, it's the hottest trend I've noticed in a long time. Thanks for the video showing how to achieve it at home. That's always the tricky part, isn't it... being able to recreate that salon look after leaving the salon! Maybe this Redken giveaway will help me do that!

Peter Som getting models ready for a show. Choosing clothing, make up and hair design for a vintage look.

I love watching the behind the scenes video, especially the concept Peter Som created. I love the story boards with the hair, makeup, clothes, shoes, and jewelry all coming together to tell a story.

I watched the look of Peter Som. Peter desribes his collection to two guys and e even has this thing called a mood board. I am loving it. I need one of these in my bedroom for inspiration lol!
After that they show a guy named Guido doing makeup and hair on the models. He calls it "a little bit quirky, a little bit upbeat."
I do have to say that thier outfits were quirky lol, I don't think you could translate them into real life but it was fun to watch :)
