makeup bag essentials...laura mercier eye basics

Alright, I'm just gonna say it.

When it comes to having an extra few minutes of sleep in the morning, or taking that time to do some major eye look...sleep will win out every time.

Every time.

On those days that would normally mean just slapping on some tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, and (maybe) mascara, then calling it a day.

After having the makeup artist from the Laura Mercier counter apply her Eye Basics in Wheat ($24) though, I'm in love.

A dab on each eye and a blend, then mascara and I'm done.

If I want to take it up a notch, I can add some eyeliner at the base of my lashes...or go for an all-out smoky eye on top of the Basics.

Alone it makes my lids more even-toned and gives them a subtle touch of color that's just perfection.

For a second, I actually feel like a more pulled together version of myself.

At least until I get spit-up on.
